Scarlett Johansson and Olivia Palermo turn shoe designers in charity collaboration with Stuart Weitzman

With fans including Beyonce, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Lopez, it's no secret that Stuart Weitzman's shoes are a favourite with the A-list.
Now the designer has allowed some of his favourite celebrity clients to exercise their creative skills in the name of charity.
Scarlett Johansson, Olivia Palermo, Hayden Panettiere and Michelle Trachtenberg have each co-designed a shoe with the footwear maestro for his Young Hollywood Cares collection.

Signature hue: Scarlett Johansson's is appropriately a scarlet patent Oxford-style shoe with burgundy laces
Each star demonstrates a radically different style though.
A delicate strappy satin stiletto decorated with fuchsia feathers from Miss Palermo is in stark contrast to the minimalist black platform ankle boot with metal hardware from Miss Panettiere.

Ms Johansson's is appropriately a scarlet patent Oxford-style platform with cut-outs and burgundy laces, while Michelle Trachtenberg's offering is a snake-print platform pump with stud detailing down the back of heel.

All proceeds will be donated to Marsha Moses' research into ovarian cancer at the Folkman Institute in Boston.
The celebrity designs will go on sale in the U.S. on Monday, at the label's boutiques in New York, Beverly Hills and Chicago.
But those wishing to snap up a pair will need deep pockets, as prices start at $425.
An official launch party for the collection will take place in New York on September 8, to coincide with Vogue's Fashion's Night Out event.
