Salman Khan Sweeps The Best Actor Award At The Apsara Awards

Bollywood star Salman Khan Tuesday triumphed at the 6th edition of the Chevrolet Apsara Film & Television Producers Guild Awards by bagging the best actor prize for hit comedy “Dabangg”, which was declared the best film.

“Dabangg”, released last year, was Arbaaz Khan’s first film as a producer and became the biggest grosser of the year at the box office. Directed by first time director Abhinav Kashyap, the film also introduced Sonakshi Sinha, daughter of actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha. It gave 2009’s best item number “Munni Badnam” too.

Karan Johar got the best director award for “My Name Is Khan”. Set in a tumultuous post 9/11 America, the film starred Shah Rukh Khan as a Aspergers syndrome patient who sets out on a journey to prove that every Khan is not a terrorist.

In the best actress category there was a tie between Vidya Balan and Anushka Sharma – while the former was awarded for her stupendous performance in critically acclaimed “Ishqiya”, the latter was honoured for her role in the successful film “Band Baaja Baraat”

Sonakshi Shocked Us By Her Bikini Pictures

She has already informed her inhibition to the makers of the film, ‘Race 2’ that she would not expose at any cost and they accepted the same but she was shocked to hear about the report that next time she will be donning green and white striped bikini for Maxim cover.
A certain section of the media claimed that next time Sonakshi will be gracing the cover page of Maxim with a bikini. They also claim that Sonakshi’s bikini image was first decided for the cover page but when her actor's father Shatrughan Sinha expressed his dissatisfaction, they changed the cover page to black outfit.
Sonakshi expressed her shock about the wrong speculation and tweeted, “Quite shocked to see India Today carrying an article on me appearing on maxim in a bikini!! Yeah right. These guys generally have their facts n figures right! Got the fact that I'm on maxim right, but the figure (pun intended) completely wrong! Would have been smart if they checked out the magazine before writing whatever they felt like. It's not about me anymore but about their credibility.”
