Kapoor 'turns down white skin cream ad'

Ranbir Kapoor has reportedly turned down an offer to promote a range of skin-whitening creams.

The actor met up with the company behind the face cream but decided against endorsing the product, Mumbai Mirror reports.

A source close the actor told the paper: "Ranbir knows that there may be many who would end up blindly following what he does.

"He does not want to misguide anyone by saying that fairness creams 'improve your skin'."

So-called 'fairness' creams are promoted by several Bollywood stars, including Kapoor's ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone and actress Priyanka Chopra.
