Genelia D’Souza (Born 5 August 1982 in England) is a young actress in India. She has acted over a dozen films in South Indian cinema. She is also known to people close to her as Harini. Her parents originally hail from Goa and later moved to England. Her first film was with maharastra cheif minister son risitesh deshmuk in Tuje Mere Kasam . this is remake from telugu film Nuvvekavali .She got her first break in the movie “Boys” directed by Shankar & music by a.R rehman . Genelia has so far acted in over a dozenin south indian film and twice in Hindi movies.
She acted in movies like Satyam, Masti, Samba, Sye, Happy, Bommarillu, and Dhee. “Bommarillu” is the biggest hit in Genelia’s career. Bommarillu, with Genelia and Siddharth Narayan in the lead, became a sensational hit.
